Cementing Technical Engineer

About the Role

The Technical Cementing Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive technical leadership and engineering support for all cementing operations in Kuwait throughout the well construction lifecycle, including drilling, casing, liner, completion, remedial, and abandonment activities. The role plays a critical part in ensuring effective zonal isolation, well integrity, and long-term well performance by designing, evaluating, and optimizing cementing solutions that meet operational, safety, environmental, and client requirements.

The position is accountable for delivering technically sound and cost-effective cementing programs, supporting field execution, troubleshooting operational challenges, and ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to achieve safe and efficient well construction objectives across Kuwait operations.

• Cementing Design & Engineering:
  Design primary, remedial, and special cementing programs.
• Laboratory Support:
  Coordinate with the cement laboratory for slurry testing.
• Operational Support:
  Provide technical support during field operations.
• Client Interface:
  Act as the technical focal point with customers.
• Post-Job Analysis:
  Analyze cementing job performance. Compare planned versus actual job execution.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with:
• API Standards
• ISO Requirements
• Company QHSE Policies
• Client Specifications
• Software & Simulation:
  Utilize cementing software such as: CEMPRO.
• Training & Mentoring:
  Train Field Specialists and Equipment Operators.
• HSE Responsibilities:
  Promote a strong safety culture. Participate in:
• Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
• Toolbox Talks
• Incident Investigations
• Ensure safe handling of cement and chemical additives. Stop any unsafe operation when necessary.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of oilfield cementing operations.
