Electrical Procurement Engineer; I & C

Responsibilities

• Source electrical equipment including emergency diesel generators, MV/LV transformers, MV switch gear, package substations, UPS systems, explosion‑proof distribution boards, lighting fixtures, poles, local control stations, MOV isolating switches, HV/LV power control cables, cable glands, earthing materials, and cable trays.
• Procure instrumentation, telecom, and control equipment such as control systems, PCS, ESD, FGS, telecom systems, motor‑operated valves, ESD valves, pressure/temperature/level transmitters, Coriolis flowmeters, gauges, F & G devices, auto‑sampling systems, I & C cables, fiber optic cables, junction boxes, cable trays, glands, and tube fittings.
• Ensure compliance with electrical, instrumentation, and telecom standards and safety regulations.
• Negotiate with suppliers for cost‑effective electrical and instrumentation‑telecom equipment, including high‑precision devices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure material compliance.
• Coordinate closely with the Post‑Order and Expediting teams to secure vendor deliverables.

• BSc in Electrical Instrumentation or Telecom Engineering (preferably from recognized accredited universities or institutions in automation/control programs).
• Knowledge of electrical systems (transformers, switch gear), instrumentation/control systems, telecom equipment, procurement, and safety standards.
• Experience in oil & gas I&C and marine projects with familiarity of UAE/Kuwait standards.
• 3–5 years of design and engineering experience in electrical systems, instrumentation and control prior to a procurement role.
• Proven procurement experience in oil & gas and marine projects.
