Materials Engineer

The Materials Engineer shall monitor and check all Contractor requisitions, work packages, risk and method statements etc. to ensure optimized work processes. Witness and verify compliance with the design specification including oversight of construction to ensure QHSE standards are maintained. In addition, he shall provide on the job training to his client counterpart. He shall oversee all sampling of material, testing soil, asphalt and concrete works.

He shall monitor all tests on raw materials or finished products in order to ensure their quality.

The suitable candidate should have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant materials management experience within the Oil & Gas industry together with a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in the design and construction of onshore plants. The ideal candidate shall be familiar with industry standard codes and construction practises. Will perform liaison duties between client and Contractor reporting to the Resident Engineer.

The job location will be based in Al Kuwait - the preferred candidates must be located in Al Kuwait.
