Design Mechanical Engineer- Oil and Gas

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop FEED packages including mechanical design calculations datasheets and technical specifications.
• Review and verify project drawings datasheets and technical documents for accuracy completeness and compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Perform mechanical design calculations equipment selection and material specification in line with project requirements.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including piping civil electrical and instrumentation engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Ensure designs meet client requirements project timelines and international standards.
• Provide technical support during project execution including design modifications clarifications and troubleshooting.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables adhere to HSE standards company policies and applicable codes.
• Support procurement activities by providing technical input for mechanical equipment and material selection and BOM.
• Assist in developing project schedules cost estimates and technical reports.
• Prove ability to review project drawings technical documents audits and project meetings.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical communication and coordination skills to ensure effective collaboration and project delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in engineering software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, Smart Plant, CAESAR II, PV Elite or similar).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Hands‑on experience in FEED package preparation.
• Strong capability in reviewing and interpreting project drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with project management tools and documentation control systems.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Kuwait based / Transferable Visa.
