Senior Consultant - Geophysicist -Seismic Reservoir Characterization

• Develop and calibrate rock physics models linking elastic properties to reservoir properties such as porosity, permeability, lithology, and fluid saturation.
• Lead seismic-to-well calibration workflows, including synthetic seismograms, wavelet extraction, phase analysis, and time-depth optimization.
• Develop and quality-control rock physics templates and diagnostic crossplots using core, well-log, and production data.
• Apply fluid substitution and rock physics modelling to predict seismic responses for different reservoir fluid scenarios.
• Perform well-log quality control, normalization, environmental corrections, and depth-to-time conversion for seismic inversion and AVO studies.
• Design and execute seismic inversion workflows, including model-based, sparse-spike, simultaneous, stochastic, and geostatistical inversion.
• Generate acoustic and elastic impedance, Vp/Vs, and other quantitative seismic volumes for reservoir property prediction.
• Deliver seismic-derived porosity, net-to-gross, saturation, and lithofacies probability volumes calibrated against well and core data.
• Conduct Quantitative Interpretation (QI) studies to identify reservoir sweet spots, bypassed pay, and opportunities for appraisal and infill drilling.
• Apply machine learning and advanced analytical techniques to seismic inversion and facies classification.
• Lead pre-stack AVO and AVAz analysis for lithology and fluid discrimination and assessment of natural fracture characteristics.
• Conduct Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator (DHI) studies and provide calibrated risk assessments for exploration and appraisal targets.
• Extract and interpret seismic attributes, including amplitude, frequency, phase, spectral decomposition, curvature, coherence, similarity, and dip-related attributes.
• Develop seismic facies classification workflows using neural networks, self-organizing maps, probabilistic methods, and other advanced techniques.
• Integrate seismic attributes with well logs, core data, geological information, and biostratigraphic data to support static geological modelling.
• Lead 4D seismic feasibility, processing, and interpretation studies to monitor changes in saturation, pressure, compaction, fluid movement, and reservoir performance.
• Integrate 4D seismic results with dynamic reservoir simulation and production data to support history matching, fluid-contact updates, and recovery forecasting.
• Provide geophysical input to EOR programs, including water flooding, gas injection, and other reservoir surveillance activities.
• Evaluate 4D seismic repeatability and recommend improvements to acquisition and monitoring strategies.
• Lead integrated reservoir characterization studies combining seismic QI, petrophysics, geological modelling, and dynamic simulation.
• Collaborate with Reservoir Engineers and Petrophysicists to integrate seismic-derived reservoir properties into static and dynamic models.
• Support appraisal and development well planning by providing reservoir thickness, porosity, fluid-contact, and uncertainty assessments.
