Position Title:

Consultant
- Petrophysicist
- Program Design Department:
On-sync Energy Management Services Company.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead advanced formation evaluation using multi-mineral modelling, saturation evaluation, borehole imaging, and integrated petrophysical workflows.
  • Integrate routine and special core data (RCAL/SCAL), well logs, mud logs, drilling data, and geochemical information for advanced reservoir characterization.
  • Interpret and integrate LWD, wireline, and mud logging data for real-time formation evaluation and operational decision-making.
  • Provide real-time petrophysical interpretation and technical support during drilling operations, including complex, deviated, horizontal, and HPHT wells.
  • Integrate TOC, pyrolysis, mineralogy, and other geochemical data to evaluate unconventional reservoirs and hydrocarbon storage mechanisms.
  • Evaluate SCAL datasets, including capillary pressure, adsorption/desorption, and other reservoir properties.
  • Develop water saturation models, saturation-height relationships, capillary pressure models, and net-pay estimates.
  • Build and calibrate Mechanical Earth Models (MEM) using core and well-log data and support pore-pressure prediction and fracture analysis.
  • Interpret borehole image and acoustic data to assess stress orientation, fractures, and geomechanical properties.
  • Provide geomechanical input for well placement, completion design, and hydraulic fracturing optimization.
  • Evaluate TOC, brittleness, reservoir quality, and other parameters to identify unconventional reservoir opportunities.
  • Interpret cased-hole logging, production logging, saturation monitoring, and reservoir surveillance data to support reservoir management.
  • Provide conditioned petrophysical inputs for static and dynamic reservoir models and support integration with seismic and inversion workflows.
  • Perform log conditioning, environmental corrections, quality control, and validation of petrophysical data from multiple sources.
  • Quantify petrophysical uncertainties and conduct sensitivity studies and Value of Information (VOI) assessments to support data acquisition and technical decisions.
  • Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, digital workflows, and emerging formation evaluation technologies to improve interpretation and decision-making.
  • Lead technical reviews, contribute to workflow standardization, and drive continuous improvement in petrophysical practices.
  • Provide technical coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior petrophysicists and other subsurface professionals.
  • Collaborate effectively with geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers, drilling, completion and other multidisciplinary teams.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline;
    Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 15–20 years of Upstream Oil & Gas petrophysical experience
, preferably with an operating IOC or NOC.
  • Minimum 5 years of active Operations Petrophysics experience
, including complex onshore/offshore, HPHT, deviated, and horizontal wells.
  • Extensive experience across carbonate, clastic, conventional, and unconventional reservoirs.
  • Advanced expertise in formation…
