Clinical Psychologist

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for adult patients experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions. This role plays a vital part in delivering patient-centered mental healthcare by developing individualized treatment plans, promoting psychological well-being, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and clinical interviews for adult patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction and substance use disorders, stress-related conditions, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Apply recognized therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, or other evidence-based modalities as appropriate.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust therapeutic interventions when necessary.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical documentation, assessment reports, and treatment records in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
• Provide psychological education and guidance to patients and, when appropriate, their families or caregivers.
• Identify patients requiring crisis intervention and provide appropriate psychological support or referral.
• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, professional regulations, hospital policies, and applicable healthcare legislation.

• MOH license
• Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or specialized mental health center.
• Proven experience treating adult patients with addiction, trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and related psychological conditions.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, or other recognized treatment modalities.
• Excellent psychological assessment, diagnostic, and case management skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and therapeutic relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Eligibility to obtain or hold professional licensure to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the UAE.
