Position Summary:
Arab Information Management Services (AIMS) is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished IBM Middleware & Integration Engineer with deep enterprise middleware administration, IBM Web Sphere, MQ, ACE, and Red Hat Open Shift expertise to join our technology team on a full-time permanent basis in Kuwait. In this specialized enterprise integration role, you will spearhead administering, maintaining, and optimizing mission-critical IBM middleware environments spanning z/OS mainframes, Linux servers, and containerized Kubernetes clusters.
You will work closely with application development, infrastructure, database, network, and security teams to ensure uncompromising system availability, high performance, and robust integration security. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic degree in computer science or information technology, deep practical mastery of IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) and API Connect, and immediate availability for deployment in Kuwait.
Job Description:
As an IBM Middleware & Integration Engineer at Arab Information Management Services (AIMS) in Kuwait, you will take full ownership of enterprise middleware operations, application server administration, messaging queue maintenance, and hybrid cloud integration pipelines. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass administering IBM MQ and ACE on z/OS and Linux, managing Web Sphere Liberty application servers, deploying IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) and API Connect, and supporting Red Hat Open Shift and Kubernetes container platforms.
You will collaborate proactively with cross-functional IT squads to troubleshoot production incidents, perform middleware patching and upgrades, configure secure connectivity, and maintain comprehensive operational documentation. Working in a fast-paced technology consulting environment in Kuwait, you will drive middleware reliability, systems scalability, and enterprise digital transformation.
- Administer, configure, patch, and maintain enterprise IBM MQ messaging environments on z/OS and Linux platforms.
- Administer and support IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) integration servers across mainframe and Linux environments.
- Administer, maintain, and optimize IBM Web Sphere Liberty application server environments and runtime pools.
- Manage, provision, and support IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) distributed architectures.
- Administer and support IBM API Connect, including end-to-end deployment, configuration, lifecycle maintenance, and operational activities.
- Administer and support Red Hat Open Shift and Kubernetes container platforms hosting enterprise middleware and integration workloads.
- Perform robust Linux system administration, including configuration, performance monitoring, routine maintenance, kernel patching, and troubleshooting.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot middleware connectivity and application integration across mainframe, Linux, and containerized environments.
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents, performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and integration failures rapidly.
- Perform scheduled middleware deployments, upgrades, emergency patching, configuration changes, and environment maintenance.
- Support high availability, disaster recovery resilience, security baselines, and performance optimization of middleware platforms.
- Coordinate seamlessly with application development, infrastructure, database, network, and security operations teams.
- Prepare and maintain rigorous technical documentation, operational procedures, deployment guides, troubleshooting manuals, and system configurations.
