Position

Business Support & Translation Associate

KPMG Kuwait is looking to hire a Business Support & Translation Associate to support the firm’s translation operating model & provide broader business support to the Kuwait office. The role is part of a new Kuwait-based support model designed to improve translation quality, enhance productivity, support cost efficiency & enable the use of technology including AI tools. This is not a traditional translator role.

The successful candidate will support translation activities, document review, formatting, administrative tasks, client and non-client assignments and productivity initiatives.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Arabic Language, English Language, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Professional certification or training in translation, business writing, document management, or AI-enabled productivity tools would be an added advantage.
  • Additional training in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Copilot, AI translation tools or data/document management tools would be preferred.
Experience
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in translation, business support, administration, audit support, professional services or a similar role.
  • Fresh graduates with strong Arabic and English language capability may also be considered.
  • Prior experience in a professional services firm, audit environment, consulting environment or regulated business environment would be an added advantage.
  • Experience supporting Arabic-to-English and English-to-Arabic document review, formatting, proofreading or translation would be preferred.
  • Exposure to business support, client-facing documentation, administrative coordination or project support would be beneficial.
Competencies
  • Strong command of Arabic and English with the ability to support translation, proofreading and document review activities.
  • Ability to prepare, review and format documents accurately and professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with official documents, client materials, financial information and regulatory or audit-related documents.
  • Good understanding of confidentiality, data privacy & professional conduct requirements.
  • Willingness to use AI-enabled tools to improve translation quality, document productivity and turnaround time.
  • Ability to work under direct supervision while maintaining accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests within agreed timelines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • Ability to support business activities as required by the firm.
  • Flexible, collaborative and willing to support both translation and administrative work as part of a hybrid support model.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with different internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
  • Support Arabic-to-English and English-to-Arabic translation requirements for the Kuwait office.
  • Review, proofread & format translated documents to ensure accuracy, consistency and professional presentation.
  • Support the preparation and formatting of client-facing documents, internal documents, templates, reports, letters & other business materials.
  • Use approved AI tools and translation-support tools to improve productivity, accuracy & turnaround time.
  • Assist with administrative and business support tasks assigned by the team or Kuwait leadership.
  • Support business related assignments, including coordination, documentation support & other related activities as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure that all documents and information are handled in accordance with firm requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand translation requirements, timelines and document priorities.
  • Maintain proper tracking of assigned work, completed tasks, pending requests & turnaround timelines.
  • Support the development of a more structured and scalable translation and business support operating model.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying ways to simplify processes, improve document quality and increase efficiency through technology and AI tools.
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, professionally & within agreed deadlines.
