The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory control, logistics, and vendor coordination. The role ensures efficient material flow, cost control, and timely delivery while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily supply chain activities including procurement, inventory, and logistics. Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock. Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays or issues.
Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and evaluate performance regularly. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and standards.
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock audits. Analyze inventory data to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory. Implement best practices for warehouse organization and stock control.
Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules. Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Work with shipping providers to ensure reliable service and cost-effectiveness.
Analyze supply chain performance metrics (lead time, fill rate, cost efficiency). Prepare regular reports for management on supply chain KPIs. Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions.
Work closely with sales, production, finance, and warehouse teams. Support demand planning and forecasting activities. Ensure alignment between supply chain operations and business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics roles.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
