Head of Department – Operations - Al Mulla Electronics

Objective

To oversee and optimize logistics, warehouse, and delivery operations to ensure seamless supply chain management and efficient customer fulfillment. This role involves logistics for finished goods and spare parts, managing inventory, customer orders, resolving order-related issues, delivery to customers, responding to customer inquiries, and enhancing operational efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

• Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth.
• Ensure alignment of logistics, warehousing, and delivery operations with business objectives and market demand.
• Collaborate with the brand Principal and logistics companies to optimize supply chain processes, inventory planning, and fulfillment strategies.

• Oversee and optimize inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely stock availability and cost-effective transportation.
• Process various types of orders (Regular, Direct, Donation, Resale, Employee sales) manually and through ERP and WHM systems.
• Maintain and update orders, including suffix changes, model substitutions, re-pricing, and re-timing.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with international and local vendors to streamline imports and distribution.

• Lead warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory management, optimal space utilization, and compliance with safety standards.
• Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to improve inventory tracking and warehouse efficiency.
• Analyze sell-in and sell-out forecasting trends to align future warehouse sizing requirements.

• Identify inefficiencies in logistics, warehousing, and delivery operations, implementing Lean methodologies for continuous improvement.
• Continuous process improvement aiming to decrease costs, exceed customer expectation, meet KPIs and increase profitability.
• Identify potential risks in operations and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage customer escalations, ensuring timely resolution and long-term solutions to recurring issues.

• Supervise delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate customer order fulfillment.
• Optimize delivery schedules, fleet management, and routing to reduce costs while maintaining high service quality.

• Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse, logistics, distribution & installation (D & I) and delivery teams to ensure high performance and engagement.

• BSc in Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree.
• Supply Chain Management, Lean Six Sigma, or relevant operational excellence certification is a plus.

• Minimum 10 years in operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Preferably in retail, consumer electronics, or FMCG with a strong focus on warehousing, logistics, and delivery & installation.
• Proven track record of managing warehouse and delivery teams.

• Strong understanding of operations, logistics, and warehouse management.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP software & logistics tracking tools.
• Knowledge of last-mile delivery solutions and customer fulfillment best practices.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for process optimization and cost control.
• Leadership and team management skills to drive high-performance teams.
