About the RoleThe Supply Chain Officer will support optimal product availability across stores by managing demand and supply planning, executing end-to-end purchase order processes, and coordinating with vendors, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders.
The role focuses on maintaining balanced inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and overstock, ensuring timely shipment delivery, and supporting efficient supply chain operations through accurate data analysis and effective coordination.
Responsibilities- Analyze historical sales data, inventory levels, and business requirements to forecast demand and determine replenishment needs.
- Maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing stock shortages and excess inventory.
- Manage the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, including purchase requisitions, proforma invoice validation, PO creation, costing, tracking, and goods receipt.
- Monitor vendor performance against KPIs such as OTIF, delivery timelines, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding production readiness, product availability, and shipment schedules.
- Track international shipments from origin to destination and proactively identify potential delivery risks.
- Coordinate with logistics and clearance teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate shipping documentation.
- Ensure products meet applicable local regulatory and import requirements, including HS code classification and product registration.
- Maintain accurate product and vendor master data within ERP systems in line with internal data governance standards.
- Coordinate with Finance regarding vendor payments, letters of credit, advance payments, invoice discrepancies, and GRN reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to inventory, service levels, supplier performance, and supply chain KPIs.
- Provide data-driven insights to support supply chain planning and operational decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, procurement, or logistics.
- Hands‑on experience in demand and supply planning, forecasting, and inventory replenishment.
- Experience managing end-to-end purchase order processes.
- Exposure to vendor management and supplier performance monitoring.
- Experience coordinating international shipments, logistics documentation, and delivery processes.
- Familiarity with import regulations, HS codes, and product registration requirements.
- Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional coordination capabilities.
- Relevant supply chain or logistics certifications are an advantage.
