Description:
MAJOR ROLE: handles the utilization of manpower and equipment by managing plant operations, optimizing production and controlling relevant production costs. Ensures consistent product quality as per required specifications. Works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to improve plant performance and own P&L responsibilities. Ensures inspection and scheduling preventive maintenance on equipment to avoid breakdowns. Implements continuous improvement methods through proper analysis and monitoring of processes and plant operations to improve productivity.
Follows product standards (international & local) by implementing testing procedures to ensure product quality. Adheres to quality standards, identifies areas of quality failures and takes steps to rectify deviations. Enforces health and safety protocols during all stages of production. Coordinates with procurement on raw materials purchases and with the QC team on quality controls. Monitors KPIs related to productivity, output, operating costs and inventory control.
Reviews and ensures accurate and comprehensive reporting to CEO on a daily basis to improve visibility and control. Controls costs within budgetary guidelines.

- Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering discipline.
- 10-15 years knowledge about industrial manufacturing cycle and production timelines to ensure effective and timely delivery.
- Sound knowledge of extruder machines. Related experience in the foam/ pipe manufacturing / plastics industry.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to all decision-making.
- Must have excellent communication skills, written & verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaborate with all levels within an organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
