Manufacturing Development Manager Type:

As a Manufacturing Development Manager at ABYAT
, lead the end‑to‑end industrialization process of new products by coordinating with R&D, Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and external suppliers to transform product concepts into commercially viable, manufacturable products.
The role ensures that new products meet quality, cost, manufacturability, and timeline objectives while optimizing production processes across wood, steel, and other manufacturing disciplines like glass and marble.
Key Responsibilities Product Development- Lead the transition of new product concepts into production‑ready products.
- Coordinate closely with the R&D team during product development.
- Review product concepts for manufacturability.
- Participate in design reviews and technical feasibility assessments.
- Manage prototype development from concept through final approval.
- Coordinate prototype fabrication internally and externally.
- Evaluate prototype functionality, quality, durability, and production feasibility.
- Lead prototype testing and product validation.
- Identify and qualify prototype suppliers.
- Coordinate prototype manufacturing with external vendors.
- Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance.
- Negotiate technical requirements.
- Develop manufacturing plans for new products.
- Ensure production lines are ready before launch.
- Coordinate tooling requirements.
- Optimize manufacturing methods.
- Support pilot production runs.
- Reduce manufacturing costs without compromising quality.
- Interpret engineering drawings.
- Review production drawings for manufacturability.
- Serve as the key liaison between: R&D, Commercial Team, Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, External Vendors
- Ensure all stakeholders remain aligned throughout the product development lifecycle.
- 8–12 years in manufacturing or product development.
- Experience with in furniture, kitchens, home improvement, interior finishing, or manufacturing.
- Experience launching new products.
- Experience working with prototype suppliers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Furniture Engineering, or related discipline.
