Solution Engineering Manager – Siemens Grid Software

About the role

This is a senior leadership role at the intersection of engineering excellence and regional energy transformation. As Solution Engineering Manager you will be the driving force behind the technical delivery of Siemens Grid Software portfolio, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and managing a portfolio of high‑impact infrastructure projects that directly support national agendas, including Kuwait Vision and broader grid modernization programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end technical execution of Grid Software projects in Kuwait, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, budget and quality standards.
  • Define project objectives, technical scope, resource allocation and delivery strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Drive engineering best practices through the reuse of standard components, templates and proven delivery frameworks.
  • Ensure full compliance with Siemens architectural standards, technical governance, cybersecurity requirements and EHS policies.
  • Represent Siemens in senior-level engagements with government entities, utilities, EPC contractors and strategic partners.
  • Support pre‑sales activities, strategic customer engagements and long-term account retention initiatives.
  • Contribute to regional go‑to‑market strategy and business development planning in alignment with sales and regional management.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, partners, vendors and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Lead and coordinate internal engineering resources, project managers, lifecycle teams and third‑party vendors across geographically distributed teams.
  • Coach and develop Technical Project Leads, Engineers and delivery teams, fostering a high‑performance collaborative culture.
  • Monitor project performance through robust reporting, scheduling and quality management mechanisms.
  • Identify, manage and resolve technical risks, bottlenecks and escalation topics throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee budget accountability and P & L contribution for the territory’s engineering portfolio.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives and support business transformation programs within the territory.
  • Manage scope, schedule and cost changes using structured governance and change control processes.
  • Collaborate with global component teams to ensure alignment with Siemens architectural and delivery standards.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in project execution and engineering leadership, focusing on medium to large‑scale infrastructure or Grid Software projects.
  • Proven track record leading multicultural, multidisciplinary engineering and project management teams in international environments.
  • Strong background in the Transmission and Distribution sector, with expertise in SCADA systems, IT/OT integration, digitalization, IoT and cybersecurity.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Substation Automation and Telecommunication Systems, including familiarity with Siemens and competitor solutions.
  • Experience managing matrix organizations and navigating complex, multi‑stakeholder project environments.
  • Experience working within Kuwait or broader Gulf markets is strongly preferred.
  • Established network and familiarity with Kuwait utilities, transmission operators or government entities is a distinct advantage.
  • Understanding of regional regulatory, procurement and project delivery frameworks in Kuwait and the Gulf.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, negotiation and executive presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for developing people, coaching technical teams and building high‑performance cultures.
  • Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of project controlling, scheduling and corrective action frameworks.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);
    Arabic language is highly advantageous.
