RoleSummary:
This is a full-time, on-site Machine Operator role based in the Kuwait City Metropolitan Area. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor bottling and packaging machinery to ensure efficient and safe production of water products. Responsibilities include loading materials, adjusting machine settings, performing routine checks, and responding to alarms or equipment issues to minimize downtime. The role involves inspecting output for quality, reporting defects, and working closely with maintenance and quality teams to maintain production standards.
The Machine Operator will follow safety and hygiene procedures, complete production documentation, and collaborate with colleagues to meet daily production targets.
- -Machine Operation & Setup:
Prepare, configure, and operate high-speed machine according to daily production schedules. Load label rolls or sheets and adjust machine components for varying bottle sizes (e.g., 330ml, 500ml, 1.5L). - -Quality Control:
Continuously inspect labels for proper alignment, adhesion, date/batch code legibility, and overall appearance. Immediately isolate and report any defective or non-compliant packaging. - -Material Monitoring:
Ensure a steady supply of labels, adhesives (hot-melt or cold glue), and other consumables. Verify that the correct label design matches the specific product batch being run. - -Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine daily maintenance, including cleaning glue rollers, clear sensors, and lubricating moving parts. Diagnose minor mechanical or software issues and make real-time adjustments to minimize downtime. - -Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate logs of production outputs, machine settings, downtime events, and material usage. Track and report waste/scrap metrics. - -Sanitation & Safety (HACCP/GMP):
Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety guidelines required in a beverage facility. Maintain a clean, hazard‑free workstation.
- - Experience:
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating automated packaging or labeling machinery, ideally in a water filling, beverage, or food manufacturing plant. - -Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with high-speed rotary labelers, linear labelers, sleeve applicators, or hot‑melt glue systems (e.g., Krones, Wellbing, Sidel, or similar equipment). - -Mechanical Aptitude:
Basic troubleshooting skills and comfort using hand tools for machine changeovers and minor adjustments. - -Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive lifting (up to 40-50 lbs when handling label rolls), and work in a fast‑paced, moderately noisy environment. - - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in manufacturing or mechanical operations are a plus.
