We are looking for a Welder to join our team in Al-Kuwait. Our ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work independently. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating welding machines to weld components made from metal, plastic or other materials.
Job Description:
The Welder will be responsible for setting up welding machines, positioning parts correctly and welding them together as per instructions. The Welder will also need to select appropriate welding rods and gases for different jobs, inspect completed welds for accuracy and ensure that all safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Set up welding machines in accordance with job specifications
- Position pieces correctly in order to obtain the required result
- Select the correct type of welding rod, gas or flux depending on the material
- Set amperage levels correctly according to the material thickness
- Weld components together accurately as per instructions
- Remove spatter and rough edges after completing a weld job
- Inspect completed welds visually in order to ensure accuracy
- Follow safety regulations at all times including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
- Proven experience as a Welder in a similar role is essential
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings with attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of relevant health & safety regulations (e.g. PPE)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with good manual dexterity
- Ability to operate welding machines with precision
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good physical condition with endurance required for long periods of standing
Possess valid certification from accredited institution (e.g. AWS or any other) - Willingness to consider immigrants is advantageous
