Lead Specialist - Science Content Publishing

• Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific, or Administration, or related field (with equivalency by the Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the same or related field
• Proficient in English and Arabic.

• Support the implementation of the Unit’s workplan and related activities for the development and publication of scientific content across magazines, books, digital platforms, and other relevant publishing channels.
• Support the selection of scientific topics and coordinate their translation and/or development in accordance with the Unit’s publishing requirements.
• Coordinate with translators, editors, reviewers, designers, and relevant service providers throughout the content development and publishing process.
• Support the review of the scientific content and ensure it is suitable for publication.
• Coordinate the design and layout of publications and support adherence to KFAS’s approved visual identity in coordination with the Communication Section.
• Coordinate the preparation of final files for printing and/or digital publication.
• Support contracting activities with relevant partners and service providers and maintain the required supporting documentation in accordance with applicable legal and administrative requirements.
• Support activities related to the pricing and sale of publications in accordance with KFAS’s established publishing and distribution framework.
• Coordinate with approved printing service providers and follow up on printing requirements, timelines, and quality of deliverables.
• Coordinate the distribution of publications to relevant stakeholders and KFAS Centers.
• Support the publication of selected magazines and scientific content through KFAS’s website and other institutional digital platforms, where applicable, and contribute to digital publishing and online store initiatives.
• Maintain and organize publishing-related data, content, files, and digital records to facilitate appropriate storage, retrieval, and accessibility.
• Support the Unit’s participation in the Kuwait International Book Fair, including the preparation and presentation of new publications and coordination of related educational activities with KFAS Centers.
• Coordinate with relevant Communication Section to publish content across digital and social media platforms and support promotional campaigns for new publications.
• Contribute to the Unit’s efforts to promote scientific culture, particularly in the Arabic language, by supporting the delivery of accessible scientific content that encourages public engagement, learning, and reading.
• Track the progress and timelines of publishing activities and identify any potential delays or issues.
• Provide coaching and guidance to Officers in tasks and activities to ensure that the quality of work meets the expected standard.

• Copy of Civil .
• Certificate of insured service periods issued by the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS), dated on or after the announcement date.
• Academic certificate(s) and transcript(s), including the final graduation GPA.
• Equivalency of the academic certificate(s) from the Ministry of Higher Education, and Authentication of the transcript(s) for graduates of universities other than Kuwait University.
