About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Welding Inspector to join our Oil & Gas project team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform visual inspections and verify weld dimensions against project specifications.
- Conduct NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing.
- Review and interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), P&, and applicable codes (AWS).
- Monitor welding operations on pipelines, pressure vessels, and offshore structures for compliance.
- Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports for QA/QC records.
- Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards and company policies.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certifications:
AWS CWI, CSWIP 313, or equivalent NDT Level II certifications (UT, MT, PT) preferred. - Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection within Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and industry codes (ASME Section IX).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and P&.
- Proficient in visual and NDT inspection techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
