Certified Specialty Coffee Quality Control Specialist

This full‑time onsite position offers opportunities for career growth. The role ensures consistent, high‑quality coffee standards across all branches and the roastery. Responsibilities include maintaining flavor consistency, overseeing roasting profiles, conducting sensory evaluations, and ensuring every cup meets our specialty coffee standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily and weekly cupping sessions to evaluate flavor notes, defects, and batch consistency.
- Monitor and adjust roasting profiles in coordination with the roastery team.
- Perform sensory analysis and maintain detailed QC documentation for all roasted batches.
- Audit coffee preparation standards across all branches (espresso calibration, grind size, extraction time, milk texture, brewing methods).
- Train baristas and branch teams on updated brewing protocols, recipes, and quality standards.
- Inspect and verify the quality of green beans, roasted beans, and packaged coffee products.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and proper storage standards for coffee.
- Collaborate with Operations and R&D for new blends, seasonal offerings, and signature beverages.
- Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions across branches and the roastery.
- Maintain calibration of grinders, espresso machines, and brewing equipment.
- Prepare weekly QC reports for management, including findings, improvements, and recommendations.
- Certified in Specialty Coffee (SCA or equivalent).
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in specialty coffee quality control, roasting, or barista training.
- Strong background in cupping, sensory evaluation, roast profiling, and brewing science.
- Experience working in a specialty coffee shop or roastery (required).
- Excellent understanding of espresso extraction, brewing ratios, and coffee chemistry.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train and mentor staff.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent quality.
- Ability to work across multiple branches and coordinate with various teams.
- Must be willing to work in Qatar.
