What Will Your Day Look Like?The Quality Assurance & Food Safety Inspector/Officer will be responsible for conducting quality assurance, food safety, and inspection activities to support the Quality Management System. The role will ensure that established quality policies, procedures, GMP, food hygiene, and food safety requirements are effectively implemented and followed across manufacturing sites, co-manufacturers, satellite locations, and external warehouses.
The incumbent will conduct inspections, identify non-conformities, support investigations and root cause analysis, maintain quality documentation, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented in line with company and regulatory requirements.
How Will You Make an Impact? Quality Assurance & Inspection- Ensure all quality control procedures established by the company are followed throughout every stage of production.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and assessments of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Perform quality checks on incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products prior to shipment.
- Review product specifications, plans, blueprints, and requirements to verify compliance.
- Monitor customer deliveries to ensure required quality standards are maintained.
- Handle non-conforming materials and products appropriately to minimize business impact and losses.
- Ensure non-conforming raw materials do not enter production and non-conforming finished products do not reach customers.
- Develop and maintain process checklists in coordination with Quality Supervisors and Managers.
- Conduct GMP inspections and ensure compliance with food hygiene and quality standards.
- Assist Quality Supervisors and Managers in conducting internal audits of processes and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing facilities, operational areas, and external locations.
- Perform random inspections of trucks, tankers, and other transportation units to verify hygiene and product protection requirements.
- Investigate quality and food safety issues and support root cause analysis using appropriate investigation techniques.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Identify non-conformities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are documented and followed up.
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality issues, investigations, findings, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety procedures and company food safety requirements.
- Apply knowledge of HACCP prerequisite programs and food safety management practices.
- Conduct GMP and food hygiene inspections across manufacturing and warehouse locations.
- Inspect raw materials and verify GMP compliance at satellite warehouses and on-site facilities.
- Collect samples as required and ensure appropriate testing, documentation, and reporting.
- Promote compliance with good manufacturing and food hygiene practices across operational areas.
- Prepare comprehensive quality inspection reports highlighting issues, findings, and required corrective actions.
- Prepare daily analysis reports, batch reports, and positive release reports.
- Review and verify batch reports for accuracy and compliance with established requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, sampling, non-conformities, CAPA, and quality-related activities.
- Escalate significant quality or food safety issues to the relevant Supervisor or Manager in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, food safety, GMP compliance, and inspection processes.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and activities aimed at reducing non-conformities and product losses.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure effective implementation of quality requirements.
- Undertake special projects and other responsibilities assigned by Agthia leadership as required.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality, or a related field.
- More than 2 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing or related production environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and food hygiene standards.
- Good understanding of HACCP prerequisite programs and food safety systems.
