JOB TITLE

Fresh Food Department Head | MAF Retail | Hypermarket Kuwait

ROLE SUMMARY

The Department Head is responsible to ensure the quality, range and freshness of offered goods to attract and satisfy the customers. The role holder is also responsible for the coordination and communication between Merchandisers and Sales Teams and other relevant service providers within the assigned area.

ROLE PROFILE
  • Lead and execute store strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and business growth targets.
  • Drive commercial performance through effective pricing, promotions, and assortment management.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain a strong competitive position.
  • Ensure efficient inventory management, stock availability, ordering processes, and warehouse operations.
  • Implement initiatives to improve product freshness, reduce shrinkage, and minimize operational waste.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, merchandising, store presentation, and pricing accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Manage, coach, and develop store teams through performance management, training, and succession planning.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, merchandising, and commercial practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service standards.
  • Good time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
