Assistant Merchandiser in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait
We are hiring an Assistant Merchandiser to join our team in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. This position is suitable for Africans and Egyptians who are proficient in English and seeking employment without accommodation. We also offer visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.
As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will support the merchandising team in planning and executing product strategies to maximize sales and profitability. You will work closely with buyers, suppliers, and the retail team to ensure that products are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Assist in creating and updating seasonal merchandise plans based on market trends, historical data, and business objectives
- Collaborate with buyers to source new products and negotiate prices with suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for reorders or markdowns as needed
- Analyze sales reports to identify top-selling products and potential opportunities for growth
- Work with the retail team to ensure that products are accurately displayed and promoted in stores
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to track order status and resolve any issues that may arise
- Support the implementation of marketing initiatives such as promotions, displays, and events
- Conduct regular store visits to gather feedback on product performance and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a merchandiser or assistant merchandiser in a retail environment
- Knowledge of retail math, inventory management, and product trends
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various sources
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong eye for visual merchandising
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs is a plus
