Python Developer

Responsibilities

Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.

Design and implement low‑latency, high‑availability, and performant applications.

Integrate user‑facing elements developed by front‑end developers with server‑side logic.

Integrate data storage solutions, including databases, key‑value stores, blob stores, etc.

• Expert in Python
• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into a single system
• Understand threading limitations of Python and multi‑process architecture
• Apply fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Optimize output for various delivery platforms (mobile vs desktop)
• Create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Strong unit test and debugging skills
• Proficient with code versioning tools
• Interest in adopting best engineering practices (previous professional experience not required)
• Problem‑solving skills demonstrated
• Analyze and validate a variety of input data sources
• Identify relationships among source data objects
• Develop common definitions of sourced data
• Define reusable approaches to data integration
• Design efficient processing of third‑party data using Python
• Design efficient analysis of data at scale using Python
• Proactively identify process improvements and ways to increase development efficiency
• Manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines
• Solid knowledge of object‑oriented programming in Python
• Knowledge of standard web technologies: HTTP, client‑server model, REST
• Experience with SQL
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Gain knowledge of organizational processes and recommend improvements

• Motivated by an always‑on startup environment
• BS in Computer Science preferred
• Data Science coursework preferred
