Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join a leading healthcare facility in Kyle, TX 78640. This overnight role is ideal for experienced lab professionals who are passionate about high-quality diagnostic testing and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform moderate to high complexity clinical laboratory testing in accordance with CLIA, OSHA, CAP, and hospital standards.
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting of test results to support physician diagnosis and patient care.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers.
• Conduct and document quality control procedures to ensure test accuracy.
• Adhere strictly to laboratory protocols for specimen handling, test procedures, and equipment calibration.
• Collaborate effectively with pathologists, technologists, and other healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate records, including test data, quality assurance documentation, and equipment maintenance logs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field (Required).
• Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume, hospital, or reference lab setting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations and quality control standards.
• Ability to work independently on third shift with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Additional Information:

• Location: Kyle, TX 78640
• Schedule: Mon - Fri 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm (rotating weekends, will make up for days off during the week)
• Length: 24 Week Contract
• Pay Rate: $40 - $42.50/ Hour

* Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
