Photonic Engineer

In this role you will contribute to hardware solutions for photonics within a multidisciplinary Thales team. You’ll analyze needs, formalize specifications, and develop hardware concepts that meet mission requirements. You’ll work on simulations, models, and prototypes, solving development challenges, and reporting findings. Perform hardware engineering activities for the Specific Engineering speciality
Analyze and define needs using studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes
Describe functions and requirements for hardware solutions
Formalise specifications and architectural design to develop hardware products
Identify critical development problems and assist in resolution
Write timely, technically accurate reports of technical findings
Master in Engineering or related field
Significant hardware development experience in the specified specialty
Team-player in multidisciplinary environments
Customer-oriented mindset
Rigorous and analytical with ability to critique and improve results
