Job DescriptionNow seeking knowledgeable, positive, and community-minded dance instructors to teach recreational classes for our Introductory and Progressive Levels. Styles include ballet,tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre.
Responsibilities:
- Createage-appropriate lesson plans for weekly classes
- Choreography forbi-annual recitals
- Nurture and motivate youth, ages 1.5-18 , to realize their potential and achieve their goals
- Build relationships with participants and families
- Assess student progress and effectively communicate progress with families
- Classes are offered at both the Dahl and Houser locations, with the majority of offerings held at the Houser branch in Onalaska
- Morning, evening, and weekend classes available; 2-8 hours per week.
- 3+years of studio dance training in ballet, jazz, tap,hip hop, and/or musical theatre
- Knowledge of dance terminology and technique
- Ability to create asafe and fun environment for all
