Join our dedicated team at Gundersen Health System as a Dental Assistant in our Orthodontics department.

Gundersen Health System is a physician‑led enterprise recognized for delivering high-quality healthcare services across Wisconsin.

We are looking for a candidate with prior Dental Assistant Experience, who is a motivated and skilled individual to provide exceptional support to our dental professionals and ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Dental Assistant

Orthodontics

32 hours per week

Monday – Thursday, 6:30 am – 4:00 pm

Downtown Dental Specialties, La Crosse

• Taking and developing dental X‑rays and impressions for orthodontic treatment planning.
• Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and care of orthodontic appliances.
• Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desired: 1–2 years of work experience in a dental practice.
• Desired:
  Minnesota State Dental Assistant License.
• CPR for Health Care Providers (with hands‑on learning).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in electronic patient records (e.g., Epic) is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.

• Starting rate of $18.31 /hr + more for experience.
