Physician​/Surgery - Cardiothoracic​/Wisconsin​/Cardiothoracic Surgeon Western WI Advanced Practice

A premier cardiac program in Western Wisconsin along the Mississippi River is seeking a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its physician-led, collaborative surgical team.

Position Highlights:

• Perform a comprehensive range of adult cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Dedicated, set OR blocks provide a predictable surgical schedule
• Primarily inpatient-focused practice with one outpatient clinic day per week
• Equitable 1:3 night, weekend and holiday call rotation
• Strong clinical support from 4 inpatient surgical APCs and 2 dedicated outpatient APCs
• Practice within a premier 325-bed Level II Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke Center and onsite inpatient rehabilitation services
• Serve a regional catchment area of more than 700,000 people across 22 counties
• Regional network includes 6 critical access hospitals and more than 65 clinics
• Fully integrated Epic EMR
• Two medical transport helicopters plus an extensive ground ambulance network
• Teaching and mentorship opportunities through an integrated General Surgery residency program

Qualifications:

• Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Completion of an accredited graduate medical training program
• Must have or be eligible to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the multi-state region
• Willingness to supervise advanced practice clinicians
• Outreach services may be required as part of the role
• Commitment to teaching medical students, residents, fellows or clinical staff
