Under the general supervision of the department chair, the instructor will teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Geography and Earth Science. This includes preparing for and holding face‑to‑face, hybrid, and/or online classes. Teaching responsibilities encompass maintaining currency in the content area, evaluating students’ work, assessing student outcomes, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. Teaching assignments are for one semester and may be renewed based on program needs.

- Master’s Degree in Geography or a related area (post‑baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a bachelor’s degree plus experience may be considered in rare circumstances).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the course content area, effective oral and written communication, and the use of computers for communication and teaching.
- Official copies of transcripts must be submitted to Human Resources upon hire.
- Experience using online course management tools.
- Previous college‑level teaching experience.
