The College of Business Administration (CBA) at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is one of three colleges at this public, award‑winning, mid‑size university. The CBA houses six academic departments and one non‑academic department (the Small Business Development Center) and offers eight undergraduate majors, seven minors, and a Master of Business Administration. It is accredited by AACSB International.
Position SummaryUnder general supervision of the department chair, the faculty member will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the College of Business Administration. The position is responsible for preparing and delivering course content, maintaining currency in the field, evaluating student work, assessing outcomes, keeping records, and holding office hours. Additional duties may include advising students and performing departmental service. The appointment is for a 9‑month academic year and may involve concurrent teaching of more than one course.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Management and related areas, including but not limited to Business Policy and Strategy, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Technology and Innovation Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, International Management, Sustainable Business, Entrepreneurship, Crisis Management, and Health Care Administration.
- Develop and update curricula in collaboration with colleagues as needed.
- Assess student performance and program outcomes in line with AACSB accreditation requirements.
- Maintain accurate teaching records and submit reports in a timely manner.
- Provide office hours and academic advising to students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development.
- Advanced degree (MBA, M.S., M.A., DBA, or Ph.D.) in a relevant business area or related field. ABDs considered if capable of meeting post‑baccalaureate requirements.
- Graduation from an accredited institution meeting acceptable quality standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards and academic integrity.
- Ability to teach face‑to‑face, hybrid, and/or online courses.
- Complete transcripts submitted to Human Resources upon hire.
- Experience teaching at the university level.
- Publication history in business research.
- Experience in developing online or blended learning modules.
- Knowledge of AACSB accreditation processes.
