Tax Associate

Responsibilities

• Conduct client tax interviews face‑to‑face and via virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate federal and state tax returns.
• Generate business growth through client retention and cross‑sell additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and guidance.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Grow your tax expertise through continuous learning and training.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25‑35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Comfortable working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher.
