Broadcast Engineer​/Master Control Operator

WISC-TV is seeking a Broadcast Engineer/Master Control Operator in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This combined role encompasses broadcast engineering duties, support for Master Control, and general building maintenance in a dynamic broadcast environment.

• Support and maintain automation systems, transmitters, and perform general building maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software functions as needed.
• Monitor on-air signals and maintain transmitter and FCC logs accurately.
• Ingest daily programming and commercials.
• Occasionally handle emergency and on‑call duties as required.

• Experience with broadcast engineering, MCO, or live video production is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to think fast and remain calm under pressure.
• Proficiency with various tools, computers, and technology with relevant IT and support‑related work experience.
• Effective multitasking and communication skills.
• Organizational and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with Ross Video, Adobe Creative, and NVersion products.
• SBE Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and participate in on‑call duties as assigned.
