About the Opportunity

As part of the Data Mining Group team, your role will require in‑depth technical expertise in extracting hidden patterns and insights from large, complex datasets using advanced algorithms and data mining techniques. In this position, you will lead small projects, creating and maintaining comprehensive reports and visualizations that drive actionable insights.

You will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure that data‑driven solutions align with business objectives.

Additionally, you will play a critical role in training new analysts, helping them develop technical and analytical skills. Your responsibilities will also include designing and refining data processes and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement in data mining operations. Working with over $600 billion in medical data annually, you will contribute to examining, interpreting, and visualizing trends in healthcare data, directly impacting business strategy and operational efficiencies.

What You’ll Do
  • Examine, interpret, and visualize trends in medical data to generate actionable insights that support new business processes and refine existing ones.
  • Execute, maintain, and monitor SQL queries efficiently to meet business objectives.
  • Create and maintain detailed reports that combine narrative and visual elements to effectively communicate results to diverse audiences.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance data mining and enrichment processes, developing tools and programs to identify new opportunities.
  • Lead and manage small data projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Work closely with other departments to align data insights with organizational goals.
  • Build custom reporting queries for Business Operations.
Requirements

What experience you bring (Role Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ expert experience with Microsoft SQL.
  • Experience with medical and pharmacy claims strongly preferred.
  • Advanced‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • SQL experience in a Big Data environment.
  • Ability to proactively develop innovative solutions while balancing multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work in a high‑performing, collaborative environment.
