About You: We’re looking for talented people with vision and creativity to join our crew. Have you ever thought something up and then built it? Do you tinker? Are you able to build something from an idea? Black Ops Productions is seeking a skilled carpenter/maker to work with us in making some awesome sh
* t. Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience, preferably with set design and stage element fabrication. Abilities to work as a part of team and individually, take direction as well as be a self‑starter are a must. You must have shop experience.

All projects are fabricated at our La Grange, KY facility, so you must have your own transportation and basic toolset. Some travel is involved for local and out‑of‑state installations.

Hour rate: $22+ based on experience. Travel pay varies by project – day rate plus per diem. Shop hours 8:30 am–5:30 pm. Minimum 40 hours per week with additional hours as needed. Project bonuses are paid frequently. Paychecks are cut bi‑weekly. We also offer a generous PTO package.

• Ability to read build drawings
• Creative problem solving
• Cabinetry
• Laminate
• Finish carpentry
• Circuitry
• Painting
• Design skills (CAD/Rhino/Sketch Up)
• Welding
• Vinyl application
• Well versed in specialty substrates for branded footprints
• Experience working with CNC parts, including providing design feedback for cut parts
• Joinery
• Computer proficiency

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lb.
• Must be punctual.
• Must be reliable.
• Must have references.
• Must have read the other requirements listed in this posting.

Recruiting Process:

• If we feel you may be a fit, we will schedule a time for you to come in for an initial interview. We have a two‑step interview process – the initial interview (approx. 45 min) in shop and a follow‑up skills assessment (1 hr – paid).
