summarythe network administrator is primarily responsible for maintaining, assisting and training users, installing hardware and software, analyzing and preparing solutions to problems, and configuring information systems and networks while exercising independent judgment. This position is also responsible for the ongoing operation, maintenance, documentation, testing or modification of computer systems or programs, analysis, agency multimedia, monitoring, disaster recovery, and security of all the assigned applications and databases.
The network administrator is also responsible for oversight of the agency’s information technology staff and contractors, while focused on a person-centered environment.
oversee the administration and maintenance of the agency’s infrastructure through planning and implementing additions, deletions, and major modifications to the network.
plan and implement network security, including: configure firewalls, use best practices to secure network applications, manage host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, adding and deleting users, etc. While maintaining confidentiality in accordance with agency policy and hipaa.
install, configure, and maintain personal computers, file servers, ethernet networks, network cabling, devices, data acquisition boards, dvd/cd units, printers, and related equipment. Delegate relevant duties to it technician.
maintain the server infrastructure including physical servers, virtual servers and storage arrays.
support the network infrastructure including security gateways, v-lan switches, distribution switches and associated patch panels.
assist with the administration and user support of the google workspace environment by working in a cloud-based computing environment and troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems and cloud-based issues, by using vendor warranty or either repairing in-house and/or making determination to replace it.
manage and maintain the agency’s public-facing website and web application interfaces, ensuring high performance, accessibility, security, and consistent content updates in coordination with internal departments.
pass the medication administration test with no more than two attempts and administer medication to clients according to physician orders and using appropriate administration techniques as outlined in the medication administration course, if needed.
must be able to perform lifting and transferring techniques as trained and pass performance testing. The employee may occasionally lift and/or push and pull up to 50 lbs. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement.
driving of agency vehicles as necessary for transportation of clients and agency business as assigned.
must, with or without reasonable accommodation,
able to regularly sit, walk, stand, climb up and down stairs and ladders, physically restrain clients pursuant to training (when necessary) and sit at a computer for long periods of time and repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times (typing, data entry).
communicate through speech with individuals in service and public in both quiet and noisy environments.
operate a personal computer and related software.
