Overview

Processes, sorts, cleans, tags, divides, stores donated goods and fills requests for product. Accepts donations on behalf of Goodwill and provides excellent customer service to donors.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently sorts different types of donations per category following all guidelines found in the Fixed Crew Training Manual.
  • Safely and efficiently prepares and labels items for transport, according to guidelines found in the Fixed Crew Training Manual.
  • Keeps workstation clean and clutter‑free at all times; maintains donation processing tables organized. Applies Kaizen principles for continuous improvement.
  • Meets production standards and completes daily tally sheets.
  • Cleans and tags product as needed according to manufacturing guidelines.
  • Inspects and tests certain small electrical appliances, determining operability (e.g., fans, radios, toaster).
  • Accepts donations per company guidelines; delivers excellent customer service to donors, including greeting, assisting with receiving donations, completing donation receipts, politely refusing or referring donors when necessary, and thanking donors.
  • Performs other miscellaneous tasks as assigned or directed.
  • Safeguards all donations and company property from damage and theft, treating them with respect and care.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in a safe manner according to all company safety guidelines.
  • North County Clearance Center:
    Cross‑trained in the Clearance Center operations.
Qualifications
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Processor experience preferred.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Ability to become forklift certified preferred; required for North County Clearance Center.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to recognize name‑brand clothing and high‑quality merchandise preferred.
