Operates a truck primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or donations from donor centers, Goodwill stores, businesses, and private residences.

• Safeguards all donations and company property from damage and theft; treats all donations and company property with respect and care; assists donors when present.
• Reads maps, operates navigational tools (Teletrac/GPS), and follows written and verbal geographic directions.
• Maintains records such as Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRS) and daily trip sheets in accordance with all State and Federal laws and company procedures.
• Provides basic direction and redirection if assigned a Truck Helper.
• Safely operates and drives 20‑26 foot bobtail trucks, completing all daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on assigned vehicles; reports any supply, equipment or mechanical issues to Dispatch.
• Safely and efficiently loads and unloads truck, vehicles, containers, and trailers; uses hand trucks, lift gates, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Maintains communication with Dispatch, calling at each stop and at scheduled times; uses Teletrac messages appropriately.
• Safely and efficiently pads, stacks, and secures items on the truck to prevent damage during transit.
• Abides by all safety procedures and policies at all times; reports any safety concerns immediately.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed or assigned.

• Education:
  
  High School Degree or GED preferred.
• Experience:
  
  6 months industrial vehicle driving experience required, one year preferred.
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Basic computer skills and ability to operate GPS tracking system preferred.
• Certificates & Licenses:
  Valid California Driver’s License (Class
  
  C) with a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance company’s standards.
