We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee our engineering construction section. - Competitive Salary: $175,240 – $223,621 per year
- 100% employee premiums paid for all health benefits
- Annual merit increases. Full‑time employees are eligible for 5% merit increases on an annual basis until they reach the top of their pay range.

- Deferred compensation:
Up to $3,500 matching on 457 plan - 24 annual days of accrued leave (increases to 29 after 5 years of service, max 37 days)
- 12 paid holidays per year, including 2 floating holidays
- Educational reimbursement up to $4,000 annually for qualifying coursework after one year of employment
As an Engineering Manager you will lead a team of six direct and three indirect staff members engaged in field engineering including survey, utility location, inspection, cathodic protection, and construction management for critical water infrastructure projects.
We are looking for a team player with strong experience and leadership skills who can effectively mentor, coach, influence and motivate a diverse group of team members to accomplish goals and objectives using effective communication, sound judgment, strong initiative, and motivation.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four‑year college or university.
- Minimum of seven years of professional engineering experience, including design and/or construction management of water utility related projects.
- Minimum of three years of administrative and supervisory experience.
- Valid Class C California driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability under the district’s vehicle insurance policy.
- Certificate of registration as a professional engineer issued by the State of California. Registration must be maintained while in this job classification.
- Pass state of California Water Resources Control Board Water Distribution Operator Grade 3 (D3) test and obtain certification within four years from the date of hire as an engineering manager.
- Valid State of California Qualified Stormwater Practitioner Certificate within four years from the date of hire as an engineering manager.
