CAREGIVER – Golden Care

Base pay range$19.00/yr - $22.00/yr
Job DescriptionThe role of a caregiver at Golden Care is to provide high-quality, non-medical care and support services to clients, delivering care with professionalism, empathy, compassion, kindness, and in a respectful manner. Some caregiver duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Provide a safe and secure environment by monitoring the health and safety of clients with Alzheimer’s/Dementia or related behaviors.
- Assist clients with all their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) in accordance with individualized care plans.
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing to maintain a clean living environment.
- Meal preparation and assist with feeding if needed.
- Transferring & ambulation—provide safety, stability and support while client is mobile and during transfers.
- Transportation (appointments, grocery shopping, errands, outings, etc.).
- Follow clients’ plans of care, safety precautions and procedures.
- Monitor, observe and report suspected concerns or changes in clients' condition or health status.
- Communicate effectively and respond to all forms of communication from the office in a timely manner.
- Must have at least 3 months of professional experience working as a caregiver.
- Must be, or willing to register as a California Home Care Aide (HCA).
- Must pass a criminal background check by DOJ/FBI.
- Must have a current negative Tuberculosis (TB) test or be willing to complete one.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must provide 2 forms of as a driver’s license, social security, passport, and/or birth certificate.
- Reliable, dependable, and on-time.
- Professional attire.
- Kind, empathetic, compassionate, respectful, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Passion and desire to help others improve their quality of life, maintaining clients' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for basic communication and care documentation.
- Paid training (paid at minimum wage).
- Bi-weekly pay.
- Flexible schedule (4‑to‑15-hour shifts; day, evening, overnight, weekend shifts available).
