Responsibilities

The busser plays a critical role in assisting servers in providing exceptional service to guests.

  • Assist with clearing and resetting tables, refilling water, serving tea, and restocking clean plates, silverware, and glassware.
  • Ensure guests feel welcome and taken care of by providing exceptional service.
  • Ensure smooth turnover of tables, effective clearing, and timely maintenance of tables.
Essential Functions
  • Clear and reset tables according to Panda standards and company procedures.
  • Prepare and serve ice‑water and hot tea to guests as soon as the party is seated.
  • Assist servers in serving guests' orders as needed.
  • Remove plates and silverware from the table when guests finish.
  • Notify servers when bringing coffee or other beverages to ensure proper charges.
  • Assist servers with monitoring tables for guest satisfaction and quality, and provide additional service.
  • Inform the server of any potential guest issues.
  • Set up workstations, ensuring all server supplies, including ice bins, are replenished and ready for peak periods.
  • Ensure table linens, silverware, glassware, and other items are clean and in good condition; replace as needed and alert management to damage.
  • Keep the dining room area clean and free of debris; clean up spills promptly.
  • Maintain restroom cleanliness and restock supplies when necessary.
  • Perform opening, ongoing, and closing side work.
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety issues and report incidents to management.
  • Act responsibly toward all company property, supplies, and equipment.
