Overview
The Maryland Center for Environmental Training (MCET) provides site-specific occupational safety and health training and assistance services to industry, employers, and local and state government agencies through training, hazard assessments, risk assessments, ergonomic assessments and other strategies. This is a pool of trainers for MCET in the area of occupational safety and health. The Maryland Center for Environmental Training develops and delivers training statewide.
Travel will be required.

Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for water and wastewater operators and supervisors with hands-on experience. We are looking for instructors with experience in:
- Wastewater
- Drinking Water
- Collection and Distribution systems
- Electricity
- Pumps and motors
- Health and Safety
Some topics of instruction may include:
- Solids Handling
- SCADA and PLC programs
- Basic and Enhanced Nutrient Removal
- Chemical Treatment
- Basics of Drinking Water Treatment
- Membrane and Fluoridation Technologies
- Pumps and motors
- OSHA 10 - Construction
- Extensive professional experience required.
- Subject matter/content expertise in water and wastewater plant operations.
- Familiar with Maryland licensing and education requirements for water and/or wastewater operators.
- Capable of customizing or developing course materials.
- Enthusiasm and passion for student learning.
- Ability to respond to the needs of participants using a variety of teaching methods.
