Position:
Workforce Program Manager

The Workforce Program Manager assists/supports the Workforce Development program leads in the development of courses, programs, and services for students. The individual in this position provides relevant industry data for programs, which supports data driven decision making for the expansion of new courses and programs and/or updating existing courses to meet the dynamic changes of local industry. The manager markets and promotes Workforce Development programs and courses to the community through personal visits and presentations.

This position provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Director of Workforce Development by providing research and data to support to the Workforce Development program areas. Additionally, the individual in this position is responsible for coordinating activities and supporting the work of the Workforce Development areas.

Reports to: Executive Director of Workforce Development

The hiring salary for this position will be from the min to mid-point of the salary range advertised. This position is open until filled.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

40% Administrative and Operational Support:

  • Conducts needs assessments across campuses using student, community, and labor market input.
  • Develops, schedules, coordinates, and monitors workforce and continuing education courses, including micro-credentials.
  • Collaborates with faculty/staff for program delivery and acts as liaison across departments.
  • Recruits, onboards, evaluates, and schedules instructors; delivers onboarding presentations.
  • Maintains course data in Lumens/Colleague; ensures program accuracy and compliance.
  • Supports budgeting efforts and participates in departmental planning processes.
  • Assists in development of course promotional materials and supports marketing efforts.
  • Ensures compliance with institutional, grant, and accreditation requirements.

40% Project and Program Management

  • Leads or supports strategic workforce projects and new initiatives.
  • Manages grant activities, including budgeting and reporting as Cost Center Manager.
  • Conducts labor market and enrollment data analysis to inform program planning.
  • Oversees digital credentialing systems (e.g., Accredible); serves as platform administrator.
  • Chairs or co-chairs relevant committees, within and external to Workforce Development.
  • Collaborates with Executive Director to align priorities, goals, and workflows.
  • Supports innovation in instructional models and credential pathways.

15% Communications and Outreach

  • Promotes Workforce Development programs through community engagement and outreach events.
  • Coordinates and participates in employer engagement activities.
  • Prepares presentations and delivers promotional messaging to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Supports coordination of advisory boards or partner meetings.

5% Meeting Coordination and Logistics

  • Coordinates and prepares meeting materials (agendas, presentations, minutes).
  • Manages meeting logistics (scheduling, room setup, tech support).
  • Tracks follow-up actions and monitors task completion post-meetings.
  • Assists with event planning and onsite/offsite support for Workforce Development activities.

Additional Duties: Performs other related work as assigned.
