BEST Education, Inc. is seeking a Center Director for our Early Child Care Center in La Plata, MD. This part‑time role requires leadership, compliance, and hands‑on care for young children.

To create a safe, nurturing environment for children while providing staff leadership and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Set department targets, manage budgets, and resolve inter‑departmental issues.
• Schedule class sessions to meet efficiency and usage goals.
• Collaborate with caregivers, families, social services, and medical professionals to develop effective care plans.
• Monitor and grade student assessments.
• Report work‑related details to the Regional Director of Operations.
• Conduct parent‑teacher conferences to review progress and adjust plans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and regulatory laws.
• Support the Center Director in achieving sales performance and operational excellence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Manage admission and discharge of children.
• Lead staff and community outreach campaigns.

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (minimum 15 semester hours) or Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience with preschoolers in a licensed childcare setting.
• Certification as an early childhood educator (nursery school through third grade) and 6 semester hours in early childhood education or equivalent state certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong listening and communication skills with children and adults.
• Positive role model – enthusiastic, energetic, creative, and sensitive to children.
• Good judgment and decision‑making ability.
• Knowledge of state childcare regulations.
• Ability to create a supportive, caring environment.
• Familiarity with physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and cultural development stages.
• In‑depth knowledge of health, hygiene, and nutrition requirements.
• Professional level verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $19.50 – $22.00 per hour

Shift and schedule: 6 AM – 9:45 AM and 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
