The Enrollment Coordinator is the first point of contact for prospective College of Southern Maryland students. The coordinator interacts with prospective and returning students, providing them with accurate information regarding admitting, advising, registering, and supporting them as they navigate their first classes ruitment efforts require a substantial amount of time away from the office attending and participating in college recruitment activities including high school visits, college fairs, scholarship fairs, and community events.
Additionally, the individual in this position coordinates the Special Admission programs at all campuses, advising, and registering students in the program.

Salary will range from the minimum to the midpoint of the advertised salary range. Position is open until filled.
Recruitment (40%)- Coordinate, conduct, and participate in targeted college recruitment activities including high school visits, college fairs, open houses, registration events on designated county campus or other CSM campuses, and in the tri‑county area.
- Participate in community events that support the mission of the department and the college.
- Provide information to prospective students about the College of Southern Maryland.
- Coordinate recruitment and enrollment activities for the Special Admissions programs (Gifted and Talented, Dual, Early College, Homeschool, Dual Math, Dual English, and others) to include high school presentations (public and private schools), parent nights, and information sessions for the tri‑county region.
- Communicate and market CSM programs and course information daily via telephone, email, or individual meetings.
- Serve as first point of contact for potential and incoming first‑year students via incoming calls, voicemails, and emails; handle inquiries by parents, school liaisons, or community members.
- Coordinate high school enrollment days with county high school liaisons, the CSM enrollment team, and advising staff.
- Provide general academic advisement to first‑semester students to assist with meeting their academic goals and plans.
- Meet with first‑year students by individual appointments.
- Evaluate college readiness, including high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, and placement test results, to determine course placement for the first semester.
- Provide registration assistance sessions for new and special admissions students.
- Act as point of contact for county dual, homeschool, and early college students, assisting them with the admissions and course scheduling process.
- Maintain accurate records of dual, homeschool, and early college students.
- Scan and review student documentation through Perceptive Content.
- Monitor and respond to emails in the shared admissions inbox.
- Collect and report weekly statistics to the Assistant Director of Admissions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two years of work experience in the student services area in a collegiate setting.
- Evidence of advocacy for student academic success.
- Excellent communication and human relations skills.
