Job Overview:

• University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department. The ideal candidate is comfortable caring for patients across all age groups and managing complex, varied diagnoses in a dynamic clinical environment.

Required:

Minimum 2 years of ER experience (1 year considered with strong ER skills); first-time travelers accepted

• Licensure &

Certifications:

Active Maryland RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI

• Weekends:
Every other weekend required

• Holidays:
Required as scheduled

• Floating:
Required within the specialty

• On-Call:
No pre-scheduled on-call requirements

• Patient Ratio: 1:4

• Average Daily Census: 130

• Number of Beds: 47

• Patient Population:
All age groups (infants through geriatric)

• Patient Diagnoses:
Broad and complex; fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
Local Rule:
Candidates must reside 50 miles or more from the facility at the time of submission.
