Well established construction firm is seeking an experienced PM to join their growing team!

About Us

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Permanent Project Manager to join our team in the Construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and manage a variety of construction projects, particularly in the oil & gas sector. The successful candidate will have a hands‑on approach, with extensive experience in all aspects of construction, including fuel terminal operations, piping, concrete, structural steel, and subcontractor management.

This role requires a well‑organized individual with a proven track record in project management, construction management, quality control, scheduling, problem‑solving, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Perform bid walks to assess the potential risks, materials, and costs of a project.
  • Develop and implement project work plans and make revisions as needed.
  • Ensure all construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high‑quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Lead and manage the project team, fostering a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Implement and manage all quality control processes, ensuring all work meets the required standards.
  • Solve any arising problems or complaints from clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Extensive experience with oil & gas construction, fuel terminal operations, piping, concrete, and structural steel.
  • Proven experience in managing subcontractors, performing bid walks, and overseeing large‑scale construction projects.
  • Proficient in construction project management and scheduling software.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and build relationships with clients, team members, and external partners.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
