I wanted to connect with you regarding an exciting Juvenile Teaching Assistant opportunity in La Porte, IN for a long-term contract role.
You’d support classroom instruction in a juvenile correctional facility, supervise students, and ensure a positive learning environment in the absence of the lead teacher.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor student attendance, behavior, and assignments
- Support students in completing teacher‑assigned work
- Participate in faculty meetings and collaborate with treatment teams
- Maintain confidentiality and a professional learning environment
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Ability to follow structured lesson plans
- Willingness to complete training and background checks
