✈ Plant Controller – Aerospace Industry | Onsite | LaPorte, IN
Compensation:
Up to $180,000, based on experience.
Relocation assistance available.
Position OverviewThe Plant Controller will serve as a strategic business partner to plant leadership, providing financial insight and ensuring accurate and compliant reporting under SOX standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, deep cost accounting experience, and a proven record of managing large-scale manufacturing P&Ls.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all plant-level financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities.
- Manage a P&L exceeding $150 million, driving performance and profitability through analysis and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain robust cost accounting systems and controls for accurate product costing and inventory valuation.
- Conduct detailed margin and variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and corporate internal control standards.
- Partner with operations and supply chain leadership to support strategic and tactical business decisions.
- Prepare and present monthly financial results and performance metrics to senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including Plant Controller experience within the last 5 years.
- Proven success managing P&Ls exceeding $150 million.
- Strong expertise in cost reporting, margin analysis, and manufacturing performance management.
- Hands‑on experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
- Aerospace industry experience highly preferred.
- High-visibility leadership role within a respected aerospace manufacturer.
