Responsibilities
Our state-of-the-art investment casting facility in La Porte, Indiana supplies jet engine components to trusted aerospace companies. Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines, Blue Light scanners, and other equipment to dimensionally inspect castings, patterns, gauges, and fixtures to assess conformance to specifications.
- Communicate inspection results and analysis to product engineer.
- Provide programming, database setup, and technical support for engineering and manufacturing requirements.
- Use discretion to schedule workflow based on priority and efficiency.
- Perform routine production inspections as required.
- Cooperate with peers by participating in an active cross-training environment.
- Adhere to applicable quality standards, company policies, customer requirements, and safety initiatives.
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints, instructions, and inspection requirements.
- Use of Analysis and 3D CAD software such as GOM, ATOS, Uni Graphics, Geomagic, and Polyworks for part geometry analysis and structured light measurements.
- Computer fluency, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/UG.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- PC-DMIS or GOM experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of CMMs and their applications, including programming.
- Familiarity with Layout Inspection procedures.
- Advanced math skills (algebra, trigonometry, geometry).
- Use of basic and advanced metrology equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented attitude and safety awareness.
- Independent, self‑motivated with ability to concentrate on difficult tasks.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Basic qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Post‑secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is an asset.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
- Employment offers conditionally based on ability to lawfully access export‑controlled items.
Preferred qualifications:
- Working knowledge of CMM/SLM or comparable metrology experience.
